Ben elected to Steering Committee for International Chemistry Olympiad
Ben was recently selected as one of the six elected members of the Steering Committee of the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). This is a committee of experts in the competition who advise future host countries in the preparation for their Olympiads and also aid new countries to develop their national chemistry Olympiad programme to select students for the international competition. Ben's two year term will see him advise the hosts for the 2022 IChO in China and the 2023 IChO in Switzerland.
Ben has been Head Mentor of the UK Chemistry Olympiad team for over 10 years, and this year mentored the team of three students to achieve two gold medals and one silver medal, one of the UK's best ever results. Some more information on this year's results can be found in this RSC article here.
