Soumalya's work from the group is out on ChemRxiv. This work reports the first stable square antiprismatic Pd8L16 architecture, as a new member of the PdnL2n metal-organic cage family. The ideal coordination vector angle for a square antiprism of ~105 degrees is achieved through use of perfluorinated ligands, which drive dihedral twisting to diverge the coordination vectors.
